WHITE DISCHARGE/VAGINAL DISCHARGE
Vaginal discharge is fluid that comes from the vagina. You might see this on the toilet paper when you wipe, or in your underwear. Normal vaginal discharge has several purposes: cleaning and moistening the vagina, and helping to prevent and fight infections. It’s normal for the color, texture, and amount of vaginal discharge to change at different times of the month during a girl’s menstrual cycle. But some changes in discharge may mean there is a problem.
CAUSES OF WHITE-DISCHARGE
Vaginal discharge is a healthy bodily function resulting from natural changes in estrogen levels. The amount of discharge can increase from the likes of ovulation, sexual arousal, birth control pills, and pregnancy. The color, smell, and texture of vaginal discharge can be adversely affected by changes to the vagina’s bacterial balance. That’s because when the number of harmful bacteria increases, vaginal infections are more likely. Here are some of the possible infections to be aware of.
